We can respect military but can't believe military.
So in case of syria,you should believe assad (syrian govt) on syrian govt version of truth about use of chemical weapons.
After all,syrian govt is responsible to its people.
You can't expect another govt to be criminal.
Even it is criminal,its criminality will be dealt with its people.

You should resist and convince your country men who pressurise you to take military action against syria.
